On March 19, a celebration was held on the occasion of Novruz holiday at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. The director general of the institute, academician Irada Huseynova congratulated the event participants and wished them good health, spring mood and happy days. The academician noted that since ancient times, our people have considered Novruz as the beginning of the new year.  Novruz is also a holiday of solidarity. This holiday, which has become a symbol of our national solidarity, is also celebrated by our compatriots living in different countries of the world. We witnessed the lighting of the holiday bonfire by the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Khankendi. Today, our people are enjoying the joy of the victory won thanks to the determination, visionary policy, special attention, and care paid to the building of the army by the President of the country, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev. On these festive days, we once again pray for mercy to our heroic children who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the territorial integrity of our Motherland, and we commemorate their dear memory with deep respect.

Doctor of biological sciences Saftar Suleymanov, PhD in biology Fazila Gasimova, and others congratulated the employees on the holiday and wished them good health and success in their future work. A khoncha competition was also held at the event. The jury evaluated the festive khonchas presented by each laboratory and department of the institute. The khoncha prepared by the Bioadaptation Laboratory was selected as the winner of the competition.
