On December 12, the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies held an event dedicated to the commemoration day of Heydar Aliyev, the wise leader and genius of the Azerbaijani people.  The event began with the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan. A minute of silence was observed to honor the memories of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the heroes who died during the Patriotic War. The general director of the institute, academician Irada Huseynova, who opened the commemorative event with her opening speech said that Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of the independent state of Azerbaijan, a world-renowned political figure, the National Leader of our nation, distinguished by his phenomenal political skills and great talent, represented independent Azerbaijan with honor and dignity all over the world. Azerbaijan avoided devastation thanks to the Great Leader's foresight, intelligence, and extensive statecraft expertise. With his simplicity, sincerity, patriotism and high human qualities, Heydar Aliyev left an unforgettable mark on the hearts of every Azerbaijani. The academician noted that Heydar Aliyev had two great relics for Azerbaijan. One is the independent, sovereign state of Azerbaijan, and the other is the worthy successor of the Great Leader, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the Victorious Commander-in-Chief. The measures implemented by President Ilham Aliyev, who continued the policy of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev following the time's requirements, ensured the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, and sure steps forward towards strategic goals and victory. At the event, corresponding member of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, doctors of biological sciences Atabey Jahangirov, Saftar Suleymanov, PhDs in biology Ulduza Gurbanova, Seadet Khudaverdiyeva, PhD student Ruslan Suleymanov and junior researcher Aygun Mustafazade Aygun Mustafazade delivered a speech and expressed their opinion about the historical services of the National Leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev.
