At ANAS general meeting chief of Head Office of Science and Education of ANAS Presidium, corresponding member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov delivered a paper on “Results of a comparative analysis of bibliometric indicators in the scientific bases of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences of”

A.Sadigov spoke on large-scale reforms, based on the foundations of the progressive scientific base at ANAS. He noted that, the main principle of these reforms is to study the experience of developed countries in order to develop and manage scientific activities on a new basis, apply advanced technologies, evaluate scientific activities based on new criteria, and the most important study of the experience of developed countries to improve the international rating our country.

He noted that, Head Office of Science and Education analyzes webometric, scientific and analytical data obtained from such high-impact scientific databases like "Web of Science", "Scopus". According to him, the current state of ANAS at these bases was investigated in 27 scientific areas and 315 scientific areas, and the trend of the development of science in the world is also monitored.

A.Sadigov has listed significant indicators of ANAS in prestigious international scientific bases. He noted that, this information was mainly obtained from the "Web of Science" and "Scopus" databases, unanimously adopted by the world scientific community.

The scientist disclosed statistical and analytical indicators based on baseline data for 2018. He noted that, in 1975-2019 over 15,700 scientific works from all scientific, higher educational institutions and other organizations of Azerbaijan were received from the Web of Science and 72.2% were from ANAS. He noted that, for the first time Azerbaijan occupies the first place among the South Caucasus countries by the number of scientific publications included in the database.

The speaker also provided ANAS indicators for different years in another influential scientific "Scopus" base, adopted by the world scientific community.

A.Sadigov also delivered a presentation on the trends in the development of science in the world, the level of scientific cooperation, the integration of journals into international scientific bases, the number of researchers working at ANAS in different years, etc.
