The 3rd Issue of Azerbaijan’s First International Cardiology Journal – Journal of Heart Disease and Therapy was Presented + Photo

The third issue of Journal of Heart Disease and Therapy, Azerbaijan’s first international, English-language cardiology journal with an international editorial board and reviewers, indexed with DOI, has been released. The journal has been approved by the Supreme Attestation Commission and included in the official list of periodicals. The presentation ceremony took place at the Central Scientific Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). At the opening ceremony, Professor Gulnaz Dadashova, Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Cardiology of the Ministry of Health, and Vice President of ANAS, Academician Irada Huseynova, addressed the participants and spoke about the significance of the journal. In her speech, Professor Gulnaz Dadashova emphasized the journal’s role in promoting Azerbaijani cardiology on the international scientific arena and noted that it would contribute to the development of medical science and clinical practice: “This journal is not only for local scientists, but also a valuable platform for the international cardiology community. Here we share our knowledge and define new research directions. It is commendable that leading cardiologists from Europe, Asia, and Azerbaijan have come together on the journal’s editorial board.” The event was also attended by Professor Alberico Catapone and Professor Dr. Ziviad Kipiani, who highlighted the journal’s importance in terms of international collaboration and spoke about the prospects for future joint projects. The presentation of the journal was delivered by PhD in Medical Sciences Vusal Hajiyev, who provided detailed information about the content of the third issue, its topical subjects, and future plans, emphasizing the importance of expanding cooperation with international experts. Within the framework of the event, the journal’s current scientific achievements, research areas, and its contribution to the development of cardiology were presented in detail.
