A ceremonial event dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist, Academician Yusif Heydar oglu Mammadaliyev, was held at SOCAR’s Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS). During the event, it was emphasized that Academician Mammadaliyev is one of the key figures in the history of Azerbaijani science and a founder of petrochemical science in Azerbaijan. Speakers highlighted Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev’s significant contributions to the development of petrochemical research, the establishment of scientific schools, the training of highly qualified specialists, and the formation of the country’s scientific infrastructure. It was noted that his scientific legacy remains relevant today and continues to serve as a solid foundation for the further advancement of national science. The importance of preserving the memory of prominent scientists and promoting their scientific heritage among young people and future professionals in the oil and gas sector was also emphasized.
