Leading Researcher at the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, PhD in Biology Aytan Aghayeva, participated in the Scientometrics Certification Program held in Belgrade, Republic of Serbia.

The program was jointly organized by the State Agency for Science and Higher Education and Clarivate and took place from 20 to 24 July 2026.

The five-day program brought together 18 specialists responsible for scientometrics at various higher education institutions and research institutes across Azerbaijan.

Within the framework of the program, participants received both theoretical and practical training in international scientific communication, scientometric analysis, research performance monitoring, and the evaluation of the academic performance of research institutions.

During the training sessions, participants learned how to use the Web of Science, InCites, Journal Citation Reports, EndNote, ProQuest Central, Research Horizon Navigator, and Research Assistant platforms and tools for research evaluation and scientometric analysis. They also had the opportunity to complete practical exercises on each topic.

At the conclusion of the program, the participants were awarded international certificates by Clarivate.
