As part of research aimed at evaluating plant drought defense systems, the activity of antioxidant enzymes and the total protein content in plant samples are determined using modern laboratory equipment. These studies are important for understanding the defense mechanisms that plants develop in response to drought stress and for identifying drought-tolerant genotypes.
