ANAS Presidium, Office of International Relations held an information seminar on project proposals for joint scientific and technical cooperation between ANAS and the National Research Council, Italy (CNR).

The event, which took place in the main building of ANAS was attended by relevant staff of academic institutions and organizations of the Academy.

Opening the seminar, head of Office of International Relations, PhD in Biology, associate professor Esmira Alirzayeva noted that, within framework of the Joint Program of the Scientific Cooperation signed between ANAS and CNR was announced competition for 2020–2021.

She noted that, scientists who wish to take part in the competition must first select a partner from the CNR institutions and then, to determine the subject of the study in the interests of both parties.

According to E.Alirzayeva, the project should be prepared in English and then added to the online form prepared by CNR and sent before June 28, 2019.

Noting that, the projects will be evaluated anonymously by independent experts from both sides on a five-point system, E. Alirzayeva added that, the results will be compared. 4 projects with the highest results will be accepted.

The head of Office noted that, Italy will allocate 6,000 euros for research, seminars and meetings for each project annually.

In addition, she recommended to define people, participating in projects, taking into account the scope and duration of the study.

The speaker added that, now work in progress with CNR on 9 projects and the results of the study were published in journals with a high impact factor.

Then, E.Alirzayeva demonstrated filling out the application form and respondent the questions of the seminar participants.
