On September 29, 2026, an event dedicated to World Rabies Day was jointly organized by Khazar University and the FAO Representation in Azerbaijan.

Held under the slogan “From Awareness to Action,” the event focused on rabies prevention, the “One Health” approach, and the importance of cross-sectoral cooperation in the areas of human, animal, and environmental health.

Representatives of government agencies, international organizations, research institutions, veterinary and public health sectors, as well as the private sector, participated in the meeting.

Pənah Muradov, Head of a Laboratory at the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Corresponding Member of ANAS, also participated in the event. The meeting focused on linking scientific approaches to practical measures in combating rabies and strengthening cooperation among relevant institutions.
