Deputy director on scientific affairs of IMBB, PhD in Biology, associate professor Alamdar Mammadov and leading research fellow of the Bioinformatics laboratory, PhD Nurmammad Mustafayev were on scientific trip in Sheki Regional Scientific Center(SRSC) on 9-10 September for the purpose of implementation of the contract concluded in 2019, including joint research and training between the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS and Sheki Regional Scientific Center. The meeting was held with the director of SRSC, PhD in physics-mathematics Yusif Shukurlu, deputy director on scientific affairs of the center Farhad Azizov, scientific secretary Vugar Abdurahmanov, Head of the biochemistry of plants laboratory, Phd in biology Zarbali Khalilov and other scientific employees of the center on 9 September 2019.

At the meeting, there were extensive scientific discussions on the main research and analysis of the obtained results, the possible scientific directions with IMBB were identified and research fellow of Laboratory of the selection of mulberry silkworm of the center, Zarintaj Shukurova gave a report on oak silkworm found in Sheki. Following the discussions, the participants visited the gardens with mulberry seedlings brought from China, the area where the amaranth plant was planted, the orchards and got acquainted with the work done.
