President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Ramiz Mehdiyev received the Executive Director of agency “Clarivate Analytics” (Thomson Reuters) for Russia and CIS countries Oleg Utkin, and director of Educational Programs of the very organization Valentin Bogorov.

At the meeting, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev stated that ANAS has close cooperation with “Clarivate Analytics”. He highly appreciated the cooperation of the academic institutions with the agency, highlighting the increasing number of ANAS scientists’ using Web of Science, world's leading sciencemetric base, because of a cooperation agreement signed between the two institutions.

Expressing his gratitude for the warm welcome, Oleg Utkin said that a number of seminars and trainings were held by the specialists of “Clarivate Analytics” in ANAS. He said that seminars provided scholars on how to use this database, how to publish articles in journals included in the database, requirements of scientific articles in various fields, etc. Utkin stressed out that, according to the database, Azerbaijan ranked first among the countries of the South Caucasus for the number of scientific works.

The meeting was attended by ANAS vice-president academician Isa Habibbayli and representative of agency “Clarivate Analytics” in Azerbaijan and expert on scientific -information resources Aygun Babazadeh.
