On January 17, the first meeting of the Scientific Council of IMBB for 2020 was held. Opening the meeting director of the institute, academician Irada Huseynova informed the council members about the issues on the agenda. Then I.Huseynova congratulated the scientific secretary PhD Durna Aliyeva on her 55^th anniversary on behalf of the staff and presented her the Honorary  Decree of IMBB. Head of Education Department, Samira Rustamova’s report on candidates applying for doctoral and dissertational studies was listened. Academician I.Huseynova informed the participants about the decision of the Presidium of ANAS about the new composition of the Editorial Board of the 3rd edition of the "Red Book of the Republic of Azerbaijan".  Moreover, issues on scientific trips of  Head of Laboratory of Enzymology of Photosynthetic Carbon Assimilation Shahniyar Bayramov to the University of Latvia, leading researcher of Bioadaptation laboratory Samira Rustamova to Tulln, Austria, 2nd-year master student Leyla Khalilova to the Institute of Fundamental Problems of Biology located in Pushino, Russia and other organizational issues were discussed. Thus, the meeting of the Scientific Council No. 01 concluded its work.
