“BIO Turkey – 2020” International Biotechnology Congress was held in Istanbul, Turkey.

Our country was represented at the event by Professor of the Mediterranean University of Turkey, corresponding member of ANAS Tarlan Mammadov. He delivered a lecture on "Cell and Gene-Based Vaccines" at the congress on "Candidate Blocking Vaccin for Malaria”.

He noted that although malaria is one of the most deadly diseases in the world today, there is no vaccine that can prevent it. Mammadov said that the vaccine, which was obtained using the technology of enzymatic deglycosis inside the cell, would save the lives of millions of people.

The Azerbaijani scientist also met with Turkish Minister of Health Fakhraddin Goja and discussed the production of new generation vaccines in Turkey, including the development of effective vaccines against coronavirus.
