As you know, in order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) in Azerbaijan, education was suspended in all educational institutions of the country. ANAS President academician Ramiz Mehdiyev signed a decree “On the organization of distance (remote) education for ANAS graduates” in order to ensure the educational process for graduates in the prescribed manner. For this purpose, distance education of graduates at the institutes of ANAS Division of Biological and Medical Sciences has begun.

Thus, from March 30, 2020, distance education is provided for graduates studying at the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS. Currently, 2 graduates majoring in Microbiology are studying at the Institute.

The teaching staff of the Institute, participating in the educational process, provides training using electronic means of communication in accordance with the topics covered by the curriculum. Classes are held in accordance with the schedule adopted for the corresponding semester.

The distance learning system is also used at the Institute of Physiology of ANAS. Graduate students studying at the institute continue their studies online. Topics on relevant topics are regularly posted on the organization’s website.

Classes for graduates studying at the Institute of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry of ANAS are also conducted remotely. Classes in "Soil Science" and "Agrochemistry" are conducted by the teaching staff involved in the educational process of the institute.

The educational process at the Institute of Genetic Resources is carried out remotely from March 29 on the specialties "Genetics", "Human Genetics", "Plant Breeding" and "Plant Protection". Lecture texts are sent to graduates by e-mail, and lessons are explained by electronic means of communication. Supervisors of graduates give their recommendations remotely for the timely writing and completion of dissertations.

Note that textbooks prepared in various subjects (texts of lectures and presentations) are presented in electronic format to the Master’s Department of the Science and Education Office of ANAS Presidium apparatus.
