An effective vaccine that protects against coronavirus will be invented in Russia as soon as possible, according to the head of the Laboratory of Molecular Mechanisms of Immunity of the V.A. Institute of Molecular Biology after Engelhardt, Head Department of Immunology, Faculty of Biology, Moscow State University after Lomonosov, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Nedospasov. The scientist noted that so far nothing has been found in the virus that would interfere with the receipt of the vaccine. At its creation genetic technologies will be used.

“The creation of any modern vaccines in one way or another involves the use of genetic technology. Genome editing may be needed when creating preclinical models,” said the specialist.
