ANAS President Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev congratulated ANAS vice-president academician Irada Huseynova on her 55th birthday.

The head of ANAS spoke about the merits of a famous scientist on the development of molecular biology and botany in Azerbaijan. He said that during her tenure as head of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences, including the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, targeted measures were taken to expand the activities of research institutes and integrate them into the international community.

Highly appreciating the activities of the department headed by academician I. Huseynova and employees of the institutes subordinate to her during the coronavirus pandemic, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev said that according to the order “On preventive measures related to coronavirus in ANAS”, the corresponding instructions were given for the publication of educational materials in the media mass media. To accomplish these tasks, Academician Irada Huseynova and the staff of her department made numerous media appearances about the coronavirus pandemic, presented articles and interviews on the methods of protection against coronavirus to the public.

Speaking further, the first vice presidents of ANAS, academicians Isa Habibbeyli and Ibrahim Guliyev noted that a prominent scientist Irada Huseynova is a highly qualified specialist in the

field of biochemistry, biophysics and molecular biology of photosynthesis, and her scientific results were published in prestigious publications.

Members of the ANAS Presidium - ANAS vice-presidents academicians Rasim Alguliyev, Tofig Nagiyev, Dilgam Tagiyev, academician-secretary of ANAS corresponding member Aminaga Sadigov talked about the academic, pedagogical and social activities of academician Irada Huseynova.

Expressing deep gratitude to the leadership of ANAS, academician Irada Huseynova emphasized that she would continue to expand her activities in the development of domestic science.

Finally, academician Irada Huseynova was awarded an Honorary Diploma of the Presidium of ANAS.
