Studies of employees of the Institute of Biophysics aimed at finding treatment methods for COVID-19 are included in the treatment protocol of TƏBİB Jul 08, 2020 | 12:28 / Important events

Studies by the staff of the ANAS Institute of Biophysics - Professor Tokay Huseynov and PhD in Biology Rugia Guliyeva, based on studies of the influence of one of the environmental factors (Selenium status) on the development and pathogenicity of HIV / AIDS, which is part of the COVID-19 genome, are included in the protocol for the treatment of coronavirus compiled by the Medical Territorial Unit Management Association (TƏBİB).

The results of studies aimed at finding methods to combat the COVID-19 virus showed that a lack of a chemical element of selenium (Se) in the diet can lead to the development of viral diseases that are widespread today.

In the course of studies, it became known that sensitivity to the COVID-19 virus and its complications seriously depend on the selenium level in the body. And the use of sodium selenite in the treatment of this disease gives good results.
