On June 4, the 2^nd year master students defended their dissertations at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS. The event was attended by the President of ANAS academician Akif Alizadeh, vice-president of ANAS, director of IMBB academician Irada Huseynova, academician-secretary of ANAS, correspondent member of ANAS Aminaga Sadigov, Head of the Magistracy Department of the Department of Science and Education of the Presidium, PhD in agrarian sciences Fikret Feyziyev, Director of Institute of Physiology, doctor of sciences in biology Ulduz Hashimova and other relevant people. The Chairman of the Defence Council of IMBB, correspondent member of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov opened the event and informed the participants about the agenda of the event. Head of the Education Department, Ph.D. in Biology, docent Samira Rustamova gave information about dissertation topics of master students. 8 master students on the specialties of “Molecular Biology” “Biotechnology” and “Biochemistry” presented their dissertation topics. 5 of them study at IMBB, 2 at the Institute of Physiology and 1 at the Institute of Zoology.

Alibayli Gulmira and Leyla Mehdibayli on the specialty of “Molecular Biology”, Aysu-Shovkat Hasanova and Reyhan Aliyeva on the specialty of “Biochemistry”, Fidan Alisoy on the specialty of “Biotechnology”, Asmar Orujova and Humay Sadigova on the specialty of “Biochemistry” of the Institute of Physiology, Khadija Gasimaliyeva on the specialty of “Biology” of the Institute of Zoology defended their dissertations and answered given questions in detail. Akif Alizadeh congratulated master students and wished them success in their future activities.
