The 2^nd year master students of Azerbaijan State Agrarian University studied at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies defended their dissertations. The event was attended by Vice-president of ANAS, Director of IMBB academician Irada Huseynova and rector of ASAU, correspondent member of ANAS professor Ibrahim Jafarov. The Chairman of Defense Council, correspondent member of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov opened the event and informed the participants about the agenda of the event. Ganbarova Parvin, Samaya Huseynova, Afsana Mammadova, Fakhriyya Kazimova on the specialties of “Molecular Biology”, “Biotechnology”, “Biochemistry” defended their dissertations and answered questions. The students expressed deep gratitude to their supervisors, teachers. Then academician Irada Huseynova congratulated the students and advised them not to be content with their achievements over the two years and continue their research work.

Then, rector of ASAU Ibrahim Jafarov recalled the late academician Jalal Aliyev, the founder of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. He said that before, young people had to go to universities in foreign countries to train molecular biology or biotechnology specialists. But now such institute exists in Azerbaijan. Professor spoke about the problems in agriculture in Azerbaijan and said that there is a need for young specialists to solve these problems. I. Jafarov expressed his deep gratitude to all the staff of the IMBB for their care. In the end, a memorable photo was taken.
