Reports on scientific, scientific-organizational, and pedagogical works done in 2020 continue at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. At the meeting held on December 4 reports of the laboratories of Plant biotechnology, Bionanotechnology, and Council of Young scientists and specialists were listened. Leading researcher of the Plant biotechnology laboratory Ph.D. Mahira Mammadova and Ph.D. Sadagat Asadova gave a report on their research work, results obtained, the scientific direction of the laboratory, staff training, and publication work. The employee of the international laboratory, Bionanotechnology, Leyla Khalilova presented the laboratory’s annual report. Chairman of the Council of Young scientists and specialists Ulduza Gurbanova informed about the participation of youth of the institute in the local and international conferences, scientific activity as well as extensional public activities.

Chairman of the Scientific Council, Academician Irada Huseynova, noted that President Ilham Aliyev signed an order to commemorate the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War. The academician stressed that the Patriotic War, which ended with the victory of our people, left a mark on the hearts of every Azerbaijani family and all our citizens. At 12:00, members of the Scientific Council observed a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War.
