On February 15, a scientific seminar of the 2nd year master student Aytaj Murshudzade majoring in Biotechnology was held. A.Murshudzade conducted her research in the laboratory headed by the correspondent member of ANAS prof. Tarlan Mammadov at Akdeniz University. The young researcher passed training and practice on modern molecular biology, Agarose electrophoresis of biochemistry, DNA extraction from gels, PCR, primer design, cloning, restriction enzyme mechanism, plasmid purification, transfer to E. coli and agrobacterium, and plasmid construction for recombinant protein production, plant infiltration, leaf extraction, synthesis of recombinant proteins in plants, purification, and determination of proteins. The subject of the research was to assess the current state of engineering, synthesis, and characterization of the bacterial pullulanase enzyme in the strategic Nicotiana benthamiana plant in industrial and agricultural enterprises of our country and to develop proposals and recommendations for its improvement. The speaker talked about ways to solve the problem of production and application of recombinant industrial enzymes synthesized in plants for the conversion of non-fermentable sugars into fermented sugars in the synthesis/production and application of recombinant proteins in plants for human health, agriculture, and industrial applications. Interesting discussions were held on the topic with many questions to the speaker.
