The 35-member composition of the Veterans’ Council of NAP was approved as a new organization at the VII congress of the New Azerbaijan Party on March 5. It is gratifying that this composition also includes the name of the chairman of the Veterans Council of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, head of the Laboratory of the photochemistry of chloroplasts, correspondent member of ANAS, Professor Ibrahim Azizov. The Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS made a unique contribution to the establishment of the New Azerbaijan Party, 5 of the famous "91s" are representatives of this Institute. Ibrahim Azizov is one of the 91 famous intellectuals who saw the way of salvation of the country only in the great leader Heydar Aliyev in 1992, during the most difficult times of the country, and signed an appeal for his return to power in Azerbaijan. It should be noted that Ibrahim Azizov, who devoted his entire life to the development of biological science in Azerbaijan, is a well-known specialist in the field of photosynthesis physiology.
