On April 1, 2021, Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS held an entrance exam for doctoral study in the specialty "Biotechnology”, and “Mathematical biology, bioinformatics” for the preparation of Doctor of Philosophy for 2020.  Relevant examination committees for each specialty had been established at the institute to conduct the specialty exam for the preparation of the Doctor of Philosophy. The Chairman of the committees is the director of the institute academician Irada Huseynova, members of the committee on “Biotechnology” are doctor of biological sciences Yashar Feyziyev and doctors of philosophy Mahira Mammadova, Sadagat Asadova, and Samira Rustamova. Members of the committee on “Mathematical biology, bioinformatics” are – correspondent member of ANAS Ilham Shahmuradov, doctors of philosophy Ismayil Zulfugarov, Nurmammad Mustafayev, and Samira Rustamova.

The examination committee evaluated the candidate Khadija Abbasli’s exam result in "Biotechnology" in the Russian section with 72 points “good”, Ulviyya Mahyaddinova’s exam result in the Azerbaijani section with 74 points “good”, Afet Mustafazade’s exam result in “Mathematical biology, bioinformatics” with 82 points “excellent”.
