Seminar on the theme “Nucleus genes targeting to plastids and mitochondria in higher plants” + Photo Oct 03, 2018 | 12:10 / Seminars

A regular scientific seminar took place at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies on October 3. Junior researcher of the laboratory of Bioinformatics Hokuma Guliyeva gave a presentation on the theme “Nucleus genes targeting to plastids and mitochondria in higher plants”. H. Guliyeva spoke on biosynthesis in mitochondria and plastids, various biological processes occurring in these organelles, and control on their functions by nucleus and organelle genomes. According to the speaker, recently, analysis of 7 higher plant genomes using various computer programs has been conducted to reveal promoter regions of nucleus genes targeting to plastids and mitochondria and identify TSSs and types of these promoters.  Then H. Guliyeva gave comprehensive answers to asked questions.
