The meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology was held on May 26. Opening the meeting, the director of the Institute, academician Irada Huseynova acquainted the members of the Scientific Council with the issues on the agenda. First, the leading researcher of the Laboratory of Plant Biotechnology, PhD in biology, associate professor Sadagat Asadova was awarded the certificate of honor of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of ANAS on the occasion of the 65th anniversary. Then the meeting discussed and approved the work plans of doctoral students in the 2020/2021 academic year in following the dissertation topics. After discussing the candidacy of Yashar Feyziyev, the head of the laboratory of Photobioenergetics, who applied for the title of associate professor, it was decided to submit this issue to the Supreme Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Afterward, the candidacies of the applicants for the vacant positions of the head of the laboratory, leading and senior researcher at the Institute were discussed and appropriate decisions were made.
