On July 2, the next scientific seminar of IMBB was held. The seminar "The role of oxaloacetate decarboxylase in the energy supply of higher plants" of the doctoral student of IMBB, Sevinj Musayeva, was listened.  She spoke about the role of oxalacetate decarboxylase in energy supply of higher plants, energy accumulation and synthesis, the role of pyruvate in plant metabolism, enzymes involved in pyruvate metabolism, the structure and physiological-biochemical functions of OAD-aza enzyme, the distribution of this enzyme in higher plants and its role in plant metabolism. He noted that studies on corn leaves of the C4 plant have shown that the activity found in chloroplasts is not related to other enzymes. After her speech Sevinj Musayeva answered questions raised.
