The official part of the conference was continued at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. Deputy of the academic secretary of the Department of Biological and Medical Sciences, director of Institute of Genetic Resources, correspondent member of ANAS Zeynal Akparov said that he was proud of being a student of Jalal Aliyev who was very attentive to his students and always supported young people who showed an interest in science.

Then the vice-president of ANAS, the director of the  IMBB academic Irada Huseynova spoke about the life and activities of public and political figure academic Jalal Aliyev and his achievements in the development of the biological science in Azerbaijan.

As I. Huseynova stressed, in our country, representatives of the scientific community are always given special attention and care, and recalled the order of President Ilham Aliyev dated May 22, 2018 “On holding the 90th anniversary of academic Jalal Aliyev”, informing the participants that the event was held  this conference in accordance with this important order. New, modern directions of molecular biology, molecular genetics, gene and cell biotechnology founded by academic Jalal Aliyev in the 70s of the last century are developed. I. Huseynova said that even during the existence of the USSR, Jalal Aliyev, was choosing the most capable students of various universities of the country, sent them to the most advanced universities of the Soviet Union to continue their education. She noted that the students of the late academic are currently successfully working in Azerbaijan and in the most influential universities of other countries, such as the USA, Great Britain, the Russian Federation, Turkey, Ukraine, South Korea, etc.

Director of the Agrarian Sciences and Information Center of the Ministry of Agriculture, Ph.D. in agricultural sciences Vugar Babayev, director of the Institute of Agriculture Javanshir Talai told about the successes of the famous scientist in studying the theoretical foundations of photosynthetic productivity of agricultural plants, mainly wheat, in a comprehensive study of photosynthesis processes and photorespiration. They said that the scientist began his scientific activity at the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry. Then the scientist founded his own laboratory at the Research Institute of Agriculture,  created a department at its base and he managed that department until his death. The results of Jalal Aliyev’s researches are of great importance in the development of the republic’s economy and increasing productivity.

Director of the Institute of Botany academic Valida Alizade, head of the department of Plant physiology and biotechnology Tofig Allahverdiyev and others spoke about Jalal Aliyev’s activities in the development of biological and agrarian sciences and his social-political activities.

Then the documentary "Eternal Light"  about the life and work of the scientist was demonstrated.
