On April 20, a regular meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS was held. Opening the meeting, Vice-President of ANAS, General Director of the Institute Academician Irada Huseynova acquainted the members of the Scientific Council with the issues on the agenda. The Chairman informed the members of the Council about partial changes in the composition of the Scientific Council of the Institute and the reappointment of PhD in Biology Durna Aliyeva as the Scientific Secretary of the Institute in accordance with the decisions of the Presidium of ANAS. The next issue on the agenda was the attestation of doctoral students of the institute. Head of the Department of Education, Ph.D. Samira Rustamova said that currently, seven doctoral students in three specialties were conducting research at the institute. Doctoral students reported to the council members on their work carried out in 2021 and answered questions. The work of doctoral students was accepted as satisfactory. It was also decided to send Samra Mirzayeva, senior researcher at the Bioadaptation Laboratory, PhD in Biology, to Ankara (Turkey) and Fidan Huseynova, junior researcher at the Population Genomics Laboratory, to Montpellier (France) on a scientific trip. In conclusion, a number of other issues related to the activities of the institute were considered, and appropriate decisions were made.
