Head of Proteomics international laboratory of IMBB, Ph.D. Ismayil Zulfugarov and researcher Aynura Pashayeva participated in the seminar-training held at the Bioethics Education, Research and Application Center of Hacettepe University on 16.05.2022-20.05.2022. A detailed exchange of views was held at the meeting with the head of the Bioethics Training and Research Center, Professor Nuket Ornek Buken, Associate Professor Muge Demir, Associate Professor Onder Ilgili, and other leading specialists of the center in this area. During the training, the importance of compliance with bioethics protocols and conventions to protect biomedical rights and the importance of proper design in research covering areas such as experiments on humans and animals, doctor-patient relationships, artificial intelligence, and medical genetics were noted. Employees of the institute listened to several reports on topics in the field of bioethics and held roundtable discussions. It was also agreed to send several employees of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies to Hacettepe University's Bioethics Education, Research and Application Center for long-term training courses and hold conferences and participate in online seminars in order to master further and develop the field of bioethics.

During their visit, our researchers got acquainted with Prof. Dr. Nurten Ayshe Akarsu, head of the Medical-Genetics Laboratory of Hacettepe University, Associate Professor Basri Gulbakan, head of Metabolism Laboratory, and leading researchers of Hacettepe University Advanced Technology Application and Research Centers, and above-mentioned departments and they discussed future cooperation.
