Today, the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies hosted a celebration on the occasion of Novruz holiday. The Director General of the Institute, Vice President of ANAS, Academician Irada Huseynova congratulated the participants of the event on the holiday and wished them health, happiness, and success in their scientific activities. The academician noted that since ancient times, our people considered Novruz to be the beginning of a new year. Novruz is a symbol of abundance, blessing, happiness and purity, and is also considered a holiday calling for peace, tranquility, trust, and fidelity. Correspondent Member of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, Executive Director of the Institute, Ph.D. Alamdar Mammadov congratulated the participants of the event on the holiday and wished them a happy and prosperous life. Cheerful conversations and dances of Kosa and Kechel gave the event a special flavor. Khoncha competition was also held at the event. Khonchas presented by each laboratory and department of the institute were evaluated by the jury members.  Khoncha, prepared by the “Supply and Service department”, was chosen as the winner of the competition.
