Ibrahim Azizov, head of the Laboratory of Photochemistry of Chloroplasts of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, corresponding member of ANAS, PhD. Mayakhanim Khanishova, leading researcher of that laboratory, and researcher Konul Taghiyeva were on a scientific trip to the Shikharkh settlement of the Tartar region on June 2-3, 2023. The purpose of the trip was to participate in the field seminar dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, held at the Institute of Genetic Resources, on the topic "The role of breeding and genetic research in ensuring food security". Ibrahim Azizov informed the participants of the seminar about the research conducted in the direction of obtaining new wheat varieties. After the seminar, the wheat hybrids planted in the support field and the development of their parental varieties were reviewed.
