The first meeting of the Scientific Council on Biological Problems of the Scientific Research Coordination Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan of the current year was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of ANAS. At the meeting chaired by academician Irada Huseynova, 40 dissertation themes- 20 of them preparation for doctor of sciences, 20 of them preparation for PhD were discussed.

Scientific secretary of the council, correspondent member of ANAS Panah Muradov, members of the council academician Valida Alizade, correspondent members of ANAS Khelil Gasimov, Ilham Alakbarov, doctors in biological sciences Saftar Suleymanov, Sayyara Ibadullayeva, Elman Isgender, Yashar Feyziyev, Arif Mehdiyev, prof. Janbakhish Necefov and others shared their ideas and suggestions on the issues.

Out of the 40 discussed themes, 34 themes-16 of them doctors of sciences, 18 of them PhD were approved by making certain changes, 6 titles were returned to appropriate institutions for review.
