Winter school of biologists-2019 which started at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies on 27 February, continued at the Institute of Dendrology of ANAS on 28 February. After listening to scientific lectures, the young biologists got acquainted with Mardakan Dandraris and they participated in the scientific discussion on "Youth policy and achievements of ANAS in 2013-2019".

On March 1, the Winter School continued at the High Technology Park of ANAS. After listening to scientific reports, excursion and scientific discussion were held. Closing and discussion of the results took place at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies.

Scientific secretary of the division, PhD in agrarian sciences Afig Mammadov, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, docent Famin Salmanov, director of the Institute of Botany, academician Valida Ali-zade, director of Institute of Physiology, doctor of sciences in biology Ulduz Hashimova, director of the Institute of Soil Science, correspondent member of ANAS Alovsat Guliyev participated at the closing event.

Opening the event, director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, vice-president of ANAS Irada Huseynova noted that winter school successfully completed its mission. I.Huseynova recalled the words of academician Jalal Aliyev "The real scientist should be able to enjoy science" and wished success to the youth in difficult ways of science.

Later other institute directors expressed their wishes and tricks to the young people and certificates were presented to the event participants. Out of eight reporters, three were rewarded with diplomas.

Junior researcher of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies ranked the first place, chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Microbiology ranked the second place, researcher of the Institute of Dendrology Gullu Aliyeva ranked the third place.

At the end of the event, Irada Huseynova said that this Winter School is the beginning of a series of events to mark "Science Day" on March 27. She expressed confidence that such events would be sustainable.
