A meeting was held with the representatives of the Executive Committee of SABAH groups of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies (IMBB). Director General of the institute Academician Irada Huseynova,  Executive Director, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology, Associate Professor Alamdar Mammadov, Head of Cell Membrane Systems laboratory, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Saftar Suleymanov, Head of the Photobioenergetics Laboratory, Doctor of Biological Sciences Yashar Feyziyev, Head of the Population Genomics Laboratory, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Nurmammad Mustafayev, Leading Researcher of the Genome Structure and Expression laboratory, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Saadat Khudaverdiyeva, Head of the Education Department, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Samira Rustamova, Head of the Executive Committee of SABAH groups Eldar Gojayev, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee for work with education, teaching staff and employees Naila Gahramanova, Deputy for Work with Students Sevinj Aliyeva, Assistant to the Head of the Executive Committee Ayten Davudova, Head of the SABAH Center of Baku State University Irada Suleymanova, Head of the SABAH Center of Azerbaijan State University of Economics Aida Guliyeva participated in the meeting.

Academician Irada Huseynova provided the guests with detailed information about the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, which was founded by the great Azerbaijani scientist, academician Jalal Aliyev, and introduced them to the institute's laboratories, the main research directions, and the most important results obtained from these studies. The director general spoke about the existence of a master's program in the institute since its establishment and great success in this field. Academician Irada Huseynova stated that the fact that 14 master's degree graduates are continuing their doctoral studies at the world's leading universities in Oxford, Montpellier, Gazi, Istanbul, Ghent, and elsewhere is clear proof of the high level of organization of the education. The general director spoke about five international laboratories of the institute. The head of the International Laboratory of Computational Structural Biology of IMBB, Honored Scientist of Azerbaijan, Professor Garib Murshudov leads the Computational Structural Biology Group of the Molecular Biology Institute of the Medical Research Council (MRC) located in Cambridge, Great Britain. The head of the international laboratory of Bionanotechnology of IMBB correspondent member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, professor of Moscow State University, Suleyman Allahverdiyev leads the laboratory of the Institute of Plant Physiology of RAS, is a senior researcher of the Institute of Fundamental Problems of Biology. The head of the International Laboratory of Molecular Bioengineering, correspondent Member of ANAS, professor of the Akdeniz University of Turkey Tarlan Mammadov is also the head of the Program at Indiana University. The director of the International Laboratory of Molecular Biotechnology of IMBB, Professor Vidadi Yusibov, Professor Ismayil Zulfugarov of South Korea's Pusan University, and others are involved in the educational process. Besides, the active use of international cooperation plays an important role in the achievements of personnel training. Academician Irada Huseynova drew attention to the creation of all opportunities for graduates to continue their scientific activities in scientific research institutes and to be integrated into world science.

Eldar Gojayev, the head of the Executive Committee of SABAH groups, informed about these groups, the history of their creation, the role they play in raising education to a higher level, as well as the committee he leads, and said that these days the groups have started activities at the master's level in 14 specialties. He emphasized that this program includes the most recent specialties, particularly those related to technology.  The program includes globally in-demand specializations in artificial intelligence, cyber security, sustainable urban planning, optimization, probability theory, operations research and systems, nanoparticles, and biochemistry. Eldar Gojayev stated that advanced research institutions such as the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies are especially needed to help strengthen the groups' activities.

During the meeting, it was noted that the development of science and education without mutual dependence is impossible in modern times; ideas were exchanged regarding the improvement of the teaching process, the definition of specialties, and future collaboration areas.

Finally, the guests visited the institute's educational halls and laboratories and spoke with the employees.
