The information was published in the issue of the Azerbaijani newspaper dated December 29, 2023, under the headline "Azerbaijani scientist was awarded a special award". According to the information, the special award of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) in the field of science and technology was presented this year to the vice-president of ANAS, general director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the MSE RA, academician, doctor of biological sciences, professor Irada Huseynova. This decision was made at the 16th summit meeting of the ECO held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, on November 9, 2023. The winners of the award were announced by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.  It should be noted that the awards established by the Economic Cooperation Organization in various fields are given to one person selected from among the candidates submitted from the member countries of the Organization for each nomination.
