The "Example for generations"jubilee conference  dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Rahim Rahimov, full member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, doctor of medical sciences, professor, Honored Scientist, recipient of the "Shohrat" Order organized by the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Nakhchivan State University and the Azerbaijan National Oncology Center was held at Nakhchivan State University.

Fuad Najafli, the authorized representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the participants of the conference first took a commemorative photo in front of the bust of Academician Rahim Rahimov placed in front of the conservatory building of the university. Then the guests got acquainted with the artworks created by the students and teachers of the art faculty.

Later, the exhibition reflecting the meaningful life path, rich scientific and medical activities of Rahim Rahimov, full member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist was viewed. The scientific works displayed in the exhibition were submitted to the library of the Faculty of Medicine of Nakhchivan State University.

The dear memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs was commemorated with a minute's silence at the jubilee conference called "Example for Generations", which started in the assembly hall of the conservatory building,.

Fuad Najafli, authorized representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, wished success to the work of the conference and said that according to the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, the 100th anniversary of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is widely celebrated at the state level. Of course, in the jubilee year, the life path of prominent statesmen, scientists, intellectuals and writers, artists, and their services to our nation and state are reviewed. In this sense, it is important to celebrate the 100th anniversary of academician Rahim Rahimov's birth in Nakhchivan.

Rector of Nakhchivan State University Elbrus Isayev emphasized that the organization of the conference dedicated to the exemplary life path of a great scientist who made important contributions to the medical science of Azerbaijan is a significant event in the life of the university.

The portrait dedicated to academician Rahim Rahimov by Honored artist Javid Ismayilov, teacher of the Faculty of Arts of the University, was presented to the son of an eminent scientist, Doctor of medical sciences, Professor Chingiz Rahimov.

Academician Isa Habibbeyli, president of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, said that the scientist who has served the medical science of Azerbaijan with honor for nearly 60 years is also a great organizer of science and healthcare. A scientist with unparalleled services in the development of oncology in our Republic has done invaluable work in the direction of training the first professionals in this field and forming the material and technical base of the oncology field.

At the conference, Academician Irada Huseynova, Vice-President of ANAS, gave a report on "Scientific-theoretical and scientific-organizational activity of Academician Rahim Rahimov" and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Nakhchivan State University, Doctor of Philosophy in Medicine, Associate Professor Ilhama Mustafayeva also gave a report "Medical workers and followers trained by the Nakhchivan School".

Then the speeches - Doctor of the National Oncology Center Ph.D. in Medicine Azad Karimli, the head of the department of the Azerbaijan Medical University, the correspondent member of ANAS Sudeif Imamverdiyev, and the general secretary of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, Academician Asef Hajiyev were heard, and a film about the rich life path of Academician Rahim Rahimov was shown.

Ali Alakbarli, one of the leading students of Nakhchivan State University, was presented with the "Rahim Rahimov Scholarship" at the conference.

Professor Chingiz Rahimov, head of the department of Azerbaijan Medical University, Doctor of medical sciences, son of Academician Rahim Rahimov, expressed gratitude for the organization of the conference on behalf of the family members.
