On April 19, at the scientific seminar of the ED 1.25 Dissertation Council, which operates under the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the MSE RA, the scientific seminar of the dissertation on "Research of polymorphism in the population of Azerbaijan with 15 STR markers"  presented by Elshan Mammadov in the field of molecular biology 2415.01 to receive a PhD degree in biology, was held. The dissertation work was performed in the Population Genomics Laboratory of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Molecular Genetics Laboratory of the Department of Forensic Biology of the Public Legal Entity "Union of Forensic-Medical Expertise and Pathological Anatomy" of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Elshan Mammadov explained in detail the main provisions of the dissertation and the obtained results. Later, there were considerable discussions over the speech. Council members expressed their opinions to the applicant and noted the modernity, relevance, scientific and practical importance of the topic. Based on the results of the voting, a decision was made to release Elshan Mammadov's dissertation to the main defense.
