On May 3, at the scientific seminar of the ED 1.25 Dissertation Council, a discussion of the dissertation submitted by Emil Shukurlu for receiving a PhD degree in the field of biological science in the specialty 2406.02-"Biochemistry" on the topic "Research of biologically active substances of lactuca (Lactuca L.) species in Azerbaijan" was held. The research was carried out in the "Plant resources" department of the Institute of Botany. The scientific supervisors of the work are honored scientist, doctor of chemical sciences, deceased professor Sirajeddin Sarkarov and doctor of biological sciences, associate professor Adila Alasgarova. Emil Şukurlu remarked on the main provisions of the dissertation and discussions were held on the topic. The council members expressed their proposals to the applicant and noted the modernity, relevance, scientific and practical importance of the topic.
