On the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the birth of Heydar Aliyev, the architect and founder of the state of Azerbaijan, an outstanding statesman, the National Leader of our people, the general director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the MSE RA, academician Irada Huseynova and the staff of the institute visited H.Aliyev’s grave in Alley of Honor and laid flowers in front of his grave and prayed for his soul. Then the staff of the institute viewed the "collection of rare trees" planted on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Academician Irada Huseynova pointed out that this collection includes trees listed in Azerbaijan's "Red Book" that are at risk of extinction, are collected and are important for the protection of biodiversity. Also, the institute’s entrance was opened after the repair and a book exhibition of works dedicated to the Great Leader was viewed. An event dedicated to the 101st anniversary of the birth of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was held in the assembly hall of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies. The event began with the national anthem of Azerbaijan. The participants first commemorated the dear memory of the National Leader and our martyrs with a minute of silence. Later, a film devoted to the Great Leader was displayed. The director general of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, Academician Irada Huseynova, started the event with an opening speech and spoke about the meaningful life path of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, who won eternity with his exceptional services. The academician noted that Azerbaijan escaped the threat of destruction and embarked on the path of development and advancement thanks to the foresight, wisdom, and rich experience of the Great Leader. Heydar Aliyev created a new history in the public political, economic, cultural and spiritual life of Azerbaijan with his endless loyalty, love, thoughtful and intense activity for his people and homeland. Today, the head of the independent sovereign state of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, continues the path of the Great Leader with dignity, the policy of Heydar Aliyev lives and wins. As a result of President Ilham Aliyev's determined and purposeful activity, the Victorious Army of Azerbaijan ended the 30-year occupation. The Armenian army was defeated within 44 days and the "Iron Fist" operation ended with the Glorious Victory of Azerbaijan.
