On May 27, the next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the MSE RA. Academician Irada Huseynova, director general of the institute, introduced the council members to the issues on the agenda. He informed the members of the Council about the visit of an honorary member of ANAS, Nobel laureate, professor Aziz Sanjar to ANAS, including the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies, on May 31, and the field seminar to be held at Gobustan RES on May 30, jointly organized by the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies and the Research Institute of Crop Husbandry of the Ministry of Agriculture. At the meeting, the senior researcher of the International Laboratory of Proteomics, PhD in biology Aynura Pashayeva's report on her secondment to the Republic of Korea was heard.

Then the issues of sending Zarintaj Rustamova, a junior researcher at the Population Genomics Laboratory to the Department of Archaeogenetics of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany, and Mehriban Shabanova, a junior researcher at the Bionanotechnology laboratory, to the 4th Russian and Azerbaijani Youth Initiatives Support Forum to be held in Stavropol, Russia on May 28-31 and to the Timiryazev Institute of Plant Physiology were reviewed and positive decisions were made. The members of the Council were also informed about the application by MSE RA State agency for science and higher education regarding the inquiry about active scientific workers in the institute, and the events to be held in the Institute in connection with May 28 - Independence Day were discussed.
