The next meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies was held. The director general of the institute, academician Irada Huseynova, introduced the council members to the issues on the agenda. Discussions were held at the institute about the implementation status of scientific research work performed in the first half of 2024. The issue of sending Ph.D. Ulkar Ibrahimova, leading researcher of the laboratory of Photochemistry of chloroplasts, to the Shandong Agricultural University, China was considered and a positive opinion was given. Academician Irada Huseynova informed about the improvement of management in science and education in the Republic of Azerbaijan, the letter No. /2-783/24 from the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, received on June 03, 2024, 3-29-68, about the provision of monthly payments to authors based on the "impact factor score" and "reference score" indicators. The candidacy of PhD Aynura Pashayeva, who submitted a document to the competition to fill the post of head of the international laboratory of Proteomics, which is vacant in the institute, was discussed. A commission headed by Ibrahim Azizov, a corresponding member of ANAS, was organized for the voting. According to the results of the voting, the applicant was unanimously appointed to this position. Later on, issues related to the events to be held in the institute in connection with June 15 - National Liberation Day were discussed.
