Gunay Ismayılova, the researcher of the Plant biotechnology laboratory, was on secondment in Sanremo, Italy from 11.09.2024 to 13.09.2024. The purpose of the visit was to participate in the training school "EPIMED: Recalcitrance in micropropagation of Mediterranean woody species and epigenetic implications" under the project CA21157 COPYTREE of the Cost program. 15 young scientists and professors selected from several countries participated in the training. Thus, during the training, George Canhoto from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, Stéphane Mauri from the University of Orleans, France, Valbona Sota from the University of Tirana, Albania, and Emilia Caboni from the CREA research center, Rome, Italy, shared their knowledge and experience with young researchers. The first training day was devoted to the theoretical and practical aspects of micropropagation of hazelnut, walnut, and almond plants in vitro culture. The next day, a laboratory training was held on "how epigenetics can clarify in vitro behavior (epigenetic aspects related to in vitro culture)". At the end, all participants received a certificate, and a commemorative photo was taken.
