Head of the Proteomics laboratory, PhD Aynura Pashayeva was on secondment in Kobe, Japan, on September 18-22, 2024. The purpose of the visit was to participate in the 2nd Asia-Oceania International Congress on Photosynthesis (2nd AOICP) organized by the International Society for Photosynthesis Research (ISPR). Aynura Pashayeva delivered a lecture on "Regulation of chlorophyll fluorescence energy-dependent quenching through thylakoid protein phosphorylation in rice plants" at the international congress. The conference participants received the lecture with great interest and extensive discussions were held. The congress lasted 4 days and was attended by about 300 participants from Japan, China, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, the United Kingdom, Germany, and other countries. During the conference, participants discussed the current state of photosynthesis research and future prospects.
Aynura Pashayeva also participated in the 31st Workshop of Young Researchers of the Japanese Society for Photosynthesis Research, held on September 21-22, 2024, within the framework of the 2nd Asia-Oceania International Congress. During the seminar, Jian-Ren Shen, a professor at Okayama University in Japan, gave a wide-ranging seminar to young scientists. During the seminar, round table discussions were held among the young scientists from different countries participating in the congress on the current problems and topics in photosynthesis.
