A regular meeting of the working group on environmental issues of the Interdepartmental Center operating under the Coordination Headquarters for the centralized resolution of issues in the liberated territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in the city of Lachin.

At the fifth meeting held this year, the working group was attended by representatives of relevant government agencies, special representative offices of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the liberated territories, restoration, construction and management services, as well as ANAS Vice President, Academician Irada Huseynova.

The members of the working group and representatives of other invited institutions discussed information on the state of compliance with environmental requirements in the implementation of infrastructure projects in the Karabakh and East Zangezur economic regions, the current state of ore, non-metallic deposits, fresh and thermal mineral waters, prospects for their use, the results of electronic cadastral registration of lands, the establishment of new green space in forest areas that fell under development during the construction of the Lachin airport. Issues related to the implementation of the instructions of the Coordination Headquarters aimed at strengthening communications between the relevant structures and coordinating activities to improve the situation with solid waste management in the territories liberated from occupation were also discussed.
