Associate Professor Alamdar Mammadov, executive director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of AT ETN, participated in the Forum dedicated to the meeting of "Representatives of education and healthcare systems of the CIS countries who graduated from higher education institutions of the Soviet and Russian Federation" held on October 9-10, 2024 in Astana, Kazakhstan.

The forum was organized by the organization "Rossotrudnichestvo" and its representative office in Kazakhstan and the North Caucasus Federal University.  Representatives of the CIS countries, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, the Dnieper Republics and the Russian Federation participated in the forum.

The purpose of the forum was to strengthen cooperation between graduates of universities of the former Soviet Union and the Russian Federation working in the sphere of higher education and healthcare in the CIS countries, as well as to exchange experience, ideas and initiatives.

          Head of the Azerbaijani delegation, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Education, corresponding member of ANAS, prof. Aminagha Sadigov made a wide speech at the opening of the forum and in the sections, and emphasized that thanks to the efforts of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, more than 15,000 young people were educated in the universities of the Soviet Union and the Russian Federation. Sadigov specially noted that those personnel played an important role in supporting H. Aliyev in the most difficult days of Azerbaijan and getting the republic out of a difficult situation, and that they are still contributing to all areas of our life, education, health and public administration.

Mammadov informed about the scientific cooperation of IMBB with some institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation and the training of highly qualified personnel in new fields of science, noting that this experience can be useful in future scientific relations. Other delegation members also spoke and informed about the relations of the education departments they represent. At the same time, the members of the delegation of Azerbaijan participated in the qualification improvement program on "Management of the higher education system" organized at the forum.
