On January 31, at the scientific seminar of the ED 1.25 Dissertation Council operating under the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a discussion was held on the dissertation of Shahla Alekbarova, titled "Investigation of the Physiological Adaptation Characteristics of Cotton Plants to γ-Radiation and Salt Stress." The dissertation was submitted for the PhD in Biological Sciences in the specialty 2411.02 – Plant Physiology. The scientific supervisor of the dissertation is Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Elimkhan Jafarov. The applicant presented the main provisions of the dissertation to the council members. A thorough discussion was held around the report, and the council members shared their comments and suggestions with the applicant. Based on the voting results, a decision was made to allow Shahla Alekbarova’s dissertation for the main defense.
