On February 3, an event was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of MSE AR on the occasion of Youth Day. The General Director of the institute, Academician Irada Huseynova, opened the event and congratulated the youth on the occasion of the holiday. The academician spoke about the history of Youth Day, the comprehensive activities of Azerbaijani youth across the country, the participation of young people in the country's achievements, and the attention and care shown by the state towards the youth. Academician Irada Huseynova noted that the youth policy, which was initiated by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, is being successfully continued today under the leadership of the President of the country, Ilham Aliyev.  Our youth actively participate in the social-political, economic, and cultural life of the country. The resolution of social issues and the protection of the rights of young people are ensured. Relevant state programs in all areas of youth policy are being successfully implemented. Academician Irada Huseynova highlighted that today's youth have better education opportunities, and currently, young specialists at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology are continuing their doctoral studies abroad. The academician expressed confidence that such young people, as highly qualified specialists, will contribute to the future development of Azerbaijani science.

At the event, Corresponding Member of ANAS Ibrahim Azizov, the Executive Director of the Institute, PhD, Associate Professor Alamdar Mammadov, and the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, PhD Nargiz Bayramova, made speeches and congratulated the youth on the holiday.

Later, based on the results of the competition held among the young scientists and researchers of the institute, the young people who actively participated in the scientific and social life of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology were awarded.  Mehriban Shabanova, a researcher at the International Bionanotechnology Laboratory, was awarded 1st place; Zarintaj Shatirova, a researcher at the Population Genomics Laboratory, 2nd place; and Xuraman Safarova, a junior researcher at the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory, and Khayala Aliyeva, a junior researcher at the Bioadaptation Laboratory, were awarded 3rd place. In the "Young Scientist of the Year" nomination, the head of the International Proteomics Laboratory, PhD Aynura Pashayeva, in the "Active Young Scientist of the Year" nomination, Aygun Sadigova, a researcher at the Plant Biotechnology Laboratory, and Saida Zulfugarova, a researcher at the Bioadaptation Laboratory, were awarded.

Aygun Mustafazadeh, a junior researcher at the International Molecular Biotechnology Laboratory, and Asmar Huseynova, a researcher at the Bioadaptation Laboratory, were awarded encouragement certificates. PhD Nargiz Bayramova, a senior researcher at the Bioadaptation Laboratory was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for her effective work in the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists. The young scientists expressed their gratitude to Academician Irada Huseynova for the conditions created for them and the attention and care shown.
