The role of female scientists in the development of scientific activity at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education is steadily increasing. Currently, approximately 85 researchers work at the institute, 70 of whom are women. The dominance of women among the institute's administration and specialists in key positions demonstrates their growing contributions to science in this field.
Vice-president of ANAS, director general of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies Irada Huseynova spoke at the meeting.
According to the director general, the institute’s scientific secretary, two laboratory heads, the head of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists, and many other leading specialists are also women: “Female scientists actively participate not only within the institute but also on the international scientific stage. Three young scientists from the institute were awarded the Presidential Prize for Youth, and all of them are women. One of the awardees is continuing her scientific activity at Oxford University. Furthermore, heads of the Education Department and Department of International and Public Relations are women. In recent years, an increase in women's participation in scientific activities at the institute has been observed, and this trend makes a significant contribution to the advancement of scientific achievements."
