On March 7, the next meeting of the Scientific Council was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education. The meeting commenced with an opening speech by the General Director of the institute, Academician Irada Huseynova, who presented the agenda items to the council members. Initially, Academician Irada Huseynova extended her congratulations to the female staff of the institute on the occasion of International Women’s Day on March 8 and presented them with bouquets of flowers on behalf of the collective. Subsequently, the institute's Honorary Diploma was presented to Executive Director, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Alemdar Mammadov, and Head of the Bioinformatics Laboratory, Doctor of Biological Sciences Yashar Feyziyev, on the occasion of their 65th anniversary, as well as to Scientific Secretary, PhD in Biology, Associate Professor Durna Aliyeva, in honor of her 60th anniversary. At the meeting, information was presented on the results of the commission established to evaluate the ranking indicators of the institute’s researchers who are authors of scientific papers, in line with the initiatives supported by the Science and Higher Education Agency under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan to increase the number of publications in international impact-factor journals. At the meeting, discussions were held on various issues, including the secondment of PhD in Biology Aynura Pashayeva, Head of the International Proteomics Laboratory, to Tandojam, Pakistan, to participate in the 2nd International Conference on Plant Protection Sciences at Sindh Agricultural University, as well as the events planned in connection with Science Day on March 27 and the 80th anniversary of ANAS.
