On March 14, the next scientific seminar was held at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnologies of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. At the seminar, Ruslan Suleymanov, a second-year PhD student in Biochemistry at the Photobioenergetics Laboratory, delivered a lecture on "Hydrogen production using nanoparticles synthesized with the help of algae." The young researcher spoke about the research conducted during his secondment at Dokuz Eylül University in İzmir, Turkey, on hydrogen production using silver nanoparticles obtained with the help of algae extract. By using silver nanoparticles in the hydrolysis of borohydride molecules, the optimal parameters for this process were determined. Thus, the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles and the experimental methods for hydrogen production through catalytic processes were mastered, and a theoretical-experimental foundation for studying other algae was established. Ruslan Suleymanov's presentation aroused great interest among the seminar participants, and the young researcher answered the questions.
